Mechatronics Engineer

Contract
Zürich, Switzerland
IT / Software

We make the world machine-readable by creating the "Mirror World". The Mirror World is the combination of 3D geometry, colored texture, materials, weather data, traffic information, IoT data and much more. The 4th industrial revolution is about connecting the physical and digital worlds. For this to happen, software needs to understand the world we live in and hence needs a machine readable world. In our view, the same Mirror World will be used by a variety of industries - robotics (for simulation), entertainment (for experiences and games), Smart Cities and Urban planning and many more. Our goal is to make the Mirror World accessible to developers in order to build what we refer to as "Mirror World Applications" - any application or experience that uses the Mirror World data.

About the Role

We are looking for a Mechatronics engineer to work on the research, development and improvements of our capture systems product. Specifically, you will be working with the team on systems integration and testing of capture systems to scale our aerial and terrestrial capture operations. You will be responsible for the continuous development and maintenance of all mechanical and electronic components underlying our technology.

These will be your tasks

•Design, development, automation and testing of mechatronics components and electronic control systems.

•System integration of new technologies like cameras, LiDAR, UAVs

•Trouble-shooting and problem solving in the mechatronic environment.

•Publish and maintain engineering reports and technical documents.

•Provide consultation or training on topics such as mechatronics or automated control.

You're offering these qualifications

•Up to 3 year of work experience in Robotics/Mechatronics engineering or related fields.

•Bachelor/Master in Robotics/Mechatronics engineering or related fields.

•Master one or more CAD applications among NX, Catia or Solidworks.

•Proficiency in C++/Python and Linux Development Environments.

•Preferred experience in flight stacks such as PX4 and DJI SDK.

•Preferred experience in prototyping and manufacturing techniques.

•Preferred experience with drones, photogrammetry and GIS software.

We're offering these benefits

Nomoko is growing fast, and we are hiring with the aim to safekeep our culture of trust, support and our spirit of collaboration. Since day one, we realized that to build a company that lasts, the focus has to be on building a team with an extraordinary variety of expertise but more importantly, personality and drive.

We are a team of innovators, pragmatics, dreamers and caring people, because we believe that our differences make us stronger, so we celebrate them! We are constantly looking for inspired souls to join us on our journey, so don’t be shy, get in touch!

We offer a flexible working schedule - we care about what our employees achieve and we trust their competency and commitment to get work done instead of imposing rigid rules around working hours.

We work hard to offer a safe, inclusive working environment, where our employees are encouraged to be themselves, while treating co-workers with respect and kindness, so that we can all grow and achieve Nomoko’s ambitious goals.

Based on merit and business needs, and regardless of race, color, religion or belief, national, social or ethnic origin, sex, age, physical, mental or sensory disability, HIV Status, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, marital, civil union or domestic partnership status, past or present military service, family medical history or genetic information, family or parental status (including pregnancy), or any other status protected by the laws or regulations in Switzerland, the EU or any future operation locations.

If you are interested, please submit your application INCLUDING a cover letter, your salary expectations and your earliest start date. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
